My healthcare career has always been focused on the consumer-provider-payer spectrum and how information technology can best serve it. My experience includes senior level planning, market assessment, positioning, business/alliance development, M&A assignments, channel development, and business plan authoring for IT companies targeting the consumer and professional markets of healthcare. I have recently concentrated on healthcare software applications and technology that reaches outside the walls of the hospital and how this fits the new accountable care organizations (ACO), patient centered medical home (PCMH) and social media models of managing health and delivery of care.

I have authored over forty-five market segment assessments, briefs and business plans; been strategically involved in over fourteen entrepreneurial efforts; and instrumental in securing funding and providing M&A services to healthcare IT companies. I have worked with Fortune 500 companies that included Apple, Hewlett Packard and Compaq with clients including Numera, VirnetX, VHA, SBC, Pacific Bell Cornerstone Partners, InforMiners, Ingenix, eScripts, Hilgraeve and American Shared Hospital Services.

Prior to establishing Information Advantage Group, I rapidly worked my way up the sales and marketing ladder after a successful academic and clinical career that included cutting edge cardiopulmonary care and product development at University of California Medical Center and California Pacific Medical Center both in San Francisco.
